Re-Value Innovation Camp 3 in İzmir
The Re-Value Innovation Camp 3 in İzmir brought together students, academics, municipal experts, and practitioners in a co-creation process focused on rethinking key urban streets within the Alsancak pilot area. As part of the wider Re-Value initiative, the camp explored climate-resilient and data-driven approaches to urban design through interdisciplinary teamwork and hands-on studio work.
Over two intensive workshop sessions in November 2025, participants analysed local challenges such as urban heat, flooding, accessibility, mobility, and public space quality. Using digital tools, field observations, and stakeholder input, they developed innovative, nature-based and people-centred design proposals for six focus streets.
The camp resulted in a series of integrated strategies combining green infrastructure, sustainable mobility, water-sensitive design, and public space activation, contributing actionable ideas for a more liveable, inclusive, and climate-resilient İzmir.
