Re-Value is far from the only partnership/project working towards achieving climate neutral cities in Europe or on improving the quality of life for Europeans. As a partnership we are working closely with several projects and initiatives at both European and National level, some of which are presented below.

NetZeroCities

NetZeroCities helps Europe in its ambition to achieve climate neutrality. The project comes in support of the EU’s Mission “100 Climate-Neutral and Smart Cities by 2030” and provides cities with world-class expertise and services tailored to their needs.

NetZeroCities assists cities to overcome the current structural, institutional and cultural barriers they face in order to achieve climate neutrality by 2030. Re-Value partner ICLEI Europe is also a part of the team behind NetZeroCities.

CLIMABOROUGH

CLIMABOROUGH is a project with the ambition to bridge the gap between design and implementation of urban innovations, particularly in the face of climatic change and its consequential needs for adaptation and mitigation.

CLIMABOROUGH is a closely connected project to Re-Value and is also funded by CINEA to work on Urban Planning and Design in the framework of the ‘100 Climate Neutral and Smart Cities Mission’.

UP2030

UP2030 is a project funded by the same call as Re-Value and aims to support cities in driving the socio-technical transitions required to meet their climate neutrality targets by leveraging urban planning and design.

Within the project, city stakeholders and local authorities will be supported and guided to put neutrality on the map of their communities in day-to-day actions and strategic decisions.  An innovative methodology (5UP-approach) will be developed and applied through the co-development and implementation of science-based - yet practical - tools, and methods.

Re-Value partners have and are participating in several other projects supporting the path to more sustainable cities. They serve as inspiration for the partnership on many different topics and approaches.

CrAFT

The project Creating Actionable Futures – CrAFt is part of the New European Bauhaus (NEB) initiative of the European Union and is placing the transition to climate neutrality at the heart of urban stakeholders.

Like Re-Value, the project is coordinated by NTNU Norway and It supports cities in designing and deploying Climate City Contracts based on the experience from CrAFt’s Sandbox Cities —Bologna, Prague, and Amsterdam—, as well as 60 CrAFt Reference Cities.

NEB-STAR

As one of six cities, Stavanger has been selected as a lighthouse demonstrator for the New European Bauhaus and is working with the Re-Value coordinator NTNU and other partners to drive the efforts forward in the NEB-Star project. The project is funded by the EU over three years, for the period 2022-2025.
