Re-Value at Urban Future 2026 in Ljubljana

From 24 to 27 March 2026, the Re-Value project will be represented at Urban Future 2026, Europe’s major conference for sustainable cities, held in Ljubljana. Every year, the event brings together city leaders, urban practitioners and researchers to exchange ideas and practical solutions for more sustainable and inclusive urban development.
Re-Value partners will contribute to two sessions in the programme. On 25 March, João Dinis from Cascais Ambiente EMAC will speak in the session 6.1.1 “Climate Communication for Cities: How to speak to different audiences.” The discussion explores how cities can communicate climate action in ways that connect with different groups, from residents and local communities to businesses and decision makers.
On 26 March, Adam Langer from Sladovna Písek will join the interactive session 6.5 “Why Is This Working! How arts step in where words fail us.” The session highlights how creative approaches and artistic ideas can help cities communicate climate challenges and engage people in new ways.
Re-Value will also be represented through Rita Marau from Cascais Ambiente EMAC, who has been selected to take part in the capacity building programme of the Just Streets project. The programme supports professionals working on inclusive and people-centred street design across European cities.
With more than 2,000 participants, hundreds of speakers and dozens of sessions, Urban Future offers a platform for sharing experiences and connecting initiatives that aim to improve city life. Through its participation, Re-Value will contribute insights from its artistic and holistic approch to sustainable and inclusive waterfront development.
