Melania Braghin from the Municipality of Rimini presented on the Challenges of Sustainable Mobility in the Rimini Area. The strategies discussed included the pedestrianisation of key access routes and sustainable freight initiatives. A central focus of the strategy is addressing seasonal peaks in transport demand and the unique mobility patterns of tourists. Key initiatives include the Shuttlemare bus-call service, cargo bike rentals for tourists and families, along with several other innovative projects.

This presentation was part of the Re-Value Round "Sustainable Mobility in Italy" hosted by Municipality of Rimini. The Re-Value Rounds are online events organised by ICLEI Europe to inspire and build capacity as part of the EU-funded Re-Value project.
