Augusta Morrison traces the evolution of Sidewalk Detroit from an art-led festival into a community-centred organisation advancing spatial equity, environmental justice and neighbourhood revitalisation. She highlights how co-created art, cultural programming and long-term stewardship of Eliza Howell Park have driven infrastructure improvements, environmental action and renewed everyday use of public space.

Part of the third Re-Value Expert Exchange on "Culture-Led Transformation", this presentation shows how cultural investment, long-term commitment and knowledge-sharing can empower communities and inspire context-specific regeneration processes far beyond a single place. The Re-Value Expert Exchanges are online learning events organised by ICLEI Europe to inspire and build capacity as part of the EU-funded Re-Value project.
