MaaS4ITALY: The Emilia Romagna Region as a Case Study
Claudio Lantieri from the University of Bologna and Andrea Normanno from the Emilia Romagna Region presented the MaaS4ITALY project, using the Emilia Romagna Region as a case study. The presentation explored the key challenges and objectives of Mobility as a Service (MaaS), emphasising its significant potential to improve access to public and sustainable transportation. The project addressed several challenges, including integrating data from various transport operations, establishing commercial agreements between transport and MaaS operators, and developing a resilient business model that can sustain itself beyond EU funding.
This presentation was part of the Re-Value Round "Sustainable Mobility in Italy" hosted by Municipality of Rimini. The Re-Value Rounds are online events organised by ICLEI Europe to inspire and build capacity as part of the EU-funded Re-Value project.
